BOOTS SOUTHERLAND

Boots Southerland (born Marlin Southerland, c. 1955, raised on a ranch in Manzanola, Colorado) is an American actor, stunt performer, and wrangler of 34 years in the film industry. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Flight Deck Aircraft Director on the USS Hancock (1964–1967, Vietnam) before moving to New Mexico in 1970, where he trained horses for stunt work — falling, rearing, and stagecoach driving — which led to his entry into the New Mexico film industry as a horse wrangler, stunt performer, and actor. He continues to work in all three capacities.
